Winter Trees
All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

Man died again
When I was a child, I studied
about deers, cedars and coal rocks
Now, I study man
My tears flow into the sea,
on which a white steamship is sailing

The soul of
the city
The row of street
trees on the verge of eternal silence
Stands in
the depth of our hearts,
As we
scrutinize, with skeptical eyes
The
civilization of headlights, fancy clothes and wine glasses.
Half at peace,
half drowned in light,
We can
vaguely see the blossoms of these trees.
Many young
men under the trees sing melancholically:
"¬¬¬¬¬
Love, love is a rolling stone that won’t gather moss
And that’s minced,
minced in the huge golden power machine. ¬¬¬¬¬¬
"
Like
schoolchildren at a crossroads
Deeply
immersed in the mysterious chess game of the city
We stop and
think:
Does the
dust in the air look like stars
When the
stars strip away the cloak of the night?
Does the
garbage on the river look like a cloud
When clouds
fall into our lives?
Do tall
buildings look like rolling waves
When the sea
is no longer obsessed with waterblue?
Does the
dense voice of the tongue
Seem to come
vaguely from ancient times? ¬¬¬¬
And then we
step over this wall of ideas
And find
nothing but,
We are just
us, are us—
A small
character in a majestic city
On the way
to and from work and sex ¬¬¬¬¬.
Half at peace,
half in the dark,
We dimly see
the trees dropping apples

Die Seele der Stadt
Die Reihe der
Straßenbäume am Rande der ewigen Stille
steht in der
Tiefe unseres Herzens,
während wir mit
skeptischen Augen
Halb in
Frieden, halb im Licht,
können wir vage
die Blüten dieser Bäume sehen.
Viele junge
riesigen goldenen Macht-Maschine. ¬¬¬"
Wie Schulkinder
am Scheideweg
tief
eingetaucht in das mysteriöse Schachspiel der Stadt
halten wir inne
und denken:
Sieht der Staub
in der Luft aus wie Sterne,
wenn die Sterne
den Mantel der Nacht abstreifen?
Sieht der Müll
auf dem Fluss aus wie eine Wolke,
wenn Wolken in
unser Leben fallen?
Sehen hohe
Gebäude wie anrollende Wellen aus,
wenn das Meer
nicht mehr von Wasserblau besessen ist?
Scheint die
dichte Stimme der Zunge
vage aus der
Antike zu stammen? ¬¬¬
Und dann
steigen wir über diese Wand der Ideen
und finde
nichts als:
Wir sind nur wir,
sind wir –
Ein kleiner Typ
in einer majestätischen Stadt
Auf dem Weg zur
und von der Arbeit und zum Sex ¬¬¬.
Halb in
Frieden,
halb im
Dunkeln,
sehen wir undeutlich,
wie die Bäume Äpfel abwerfen

As Night Falls

I Can't Let the Words Rest
I can’t let words rest
Sometimes, they are ashamed and try to die there inside of me
I love those times
In the midst of all the things that don’t speak
in this world,
only humans chatter away
The sun, the trees, the snow; they do not recognize their own
beauty
A plane speeds across the sky, soaring like human passion
The blue heavens wear a mask of scenery, all a lie
I call out in a small voice, the world does not reply
My words are nothing more than the chitter of some small
bird,
lost in the great sky

AS NIGHT FALLS
As night falls, the
sky is still lighted up
Rosy-streaked
rosy-streaked, again and again and again
the lightblue ocean,
upside down again
I try to stand on my
hands, the feet in the azure sea
Treetops are reversed,
they are far down, in that greeny abyss
They are miraculous
spears, piercing the floating seaweed
The colored streaks
are bloodspills
flowing apart
dispersing faint
remnants of red
Remnants of a dreamed
flag dissolved in a dreamsea
In the afternoon,
sober like a saint, I was sitting in the shadow
Pine trees firs an
apple tree
the waning lilac, a
willow
were forming a dense
forest around me
their tops in the sun
I thought of the city
the radio sighing
Voices complaining
of a loss of
confidence, a crisis global - they said
My jacket torn by a
cat
my underwear, shoddy
a hole in my jeans
I feel privileged
feel the guilt of the
rich
I’m living in a
country run by exploiters
Yes a country run by
people
who send their
soldiers abroad
to bring death
to people like me

Während die Nacht
anbricht
rosig gestreift
rosig gestreift, wieder und wieder und wieder
die lichtblaue see,
[ in diesem grünen abgrund
Meine jacke, zerrissen
von einer katze
die unterwäsche
so schäbig
en loch in der jeans
Ich fühle mich
privilegiert
fühle die schuld
der reichen
Ich leb in nem
Land das ausbeuter lenken
Ja, nen land
gelenkt von leuten
die ihre soldaten
ins ausland schicken
um tod zu bringen
leuten wie mir
